WPC: Spare

Well in a country as densely populated as India, it’s actually pretty hard to find a place that’s totally uninhabited by people. So no matter where you are there will always be at least one person or a hint of human activity on the horizon around you.

For some people this is a good thing, as to this is why nobody can ever feel completely alone and lost in India.  But I still wanna go somewhere where it’s just me all around. No hint of life, and no not even a cow lazily strutting on the meadows. Dunno why I feel like this though, inner peace?

Yet, sometimes I get close enough. And this was one of those moments. Just staring into the beyond I suppose.

WPC: Earth

The good people at WordPress have chosen Earth as the theme for this week’s Photo Challenge. It’s fitting to give a tribute to Mother Earth with Mother’s day just around the corner.

Always full of surprises, our planet is full of inspiration. I get it from the calm and comfort of the sea and the pretty colorful flora. You probably are tired of hearing that though. 🙂

So. Damn. Magnetic.
Those petals caught the sunlight so beautifully…

WPC: Seasons

Having just crossed Spring and entering into Summer – the uncomfortable warmth is slowly creeping in. But Summer also brings an intrinsic beauty of its own.

The greens are a tad greener than usual and the Sun is a tad vibrant than before.

WPC: Time

This is the iconic Clock Tower of Secunderabad. Constructed in 1890 during the British regime, it still stands today due to the efforts put in by the civic bodies to revive the structure and the area around it. Recently when Secunderabad celebrated its 200 year anniversary, the clock tower was chosen as the logo for the event.

This is my attempt to capture the tower with the evening sky in the background and the passing of the vehicular traffic.

WPC: Vibrant!

This Guava-and-Cranberry concoction with a fair bit of mint leaves thrown in really helped me cool off on a hot January afternoon! Punchy flavors with a right balance of sweet and sour, and combined with a luscious Carbonara on the side – simply great!

At the Flying Spaghetti Monster Restaurant, Vizag.

WPC: Weight(less)

There’s something exciting about zipping your way down a hill in a small cubicle hanging off a rope! Well this recent rope-way ride in the Kailasagiri hill of Vizag made me feel the most weightless anyway.

With a great view of the city and the sea-coast, this is one ride not to be missed though it doesn’t last for no longer than five minutes or so.

WPC: Circle

Didn’t want to go without a post on the very first day of year and there’s still 15 minutes left to midnight so here I go!

The only photo mildly resembling a theme of “Circle” in my gallery is this chandelier that I shot very recently at Palazzo Multiplex in Chennai. I probably didn’t do it enough justice but totally prepped for next time!

There are about 3-4 circles here, can you spot all of them? 😛
